Climb Rates

The rates below are standard climb rates for each route we operate. Variations can be made at the time of booking (such as changes to tents, hiring sleeping bags, etc.)

We do not charge any seasonal or holiday levies - the rates are for any available dates throughout the year.

Gear Hire Rates

If you prefer not to purchase your own, a variety of hiking and sleeping gear can be hired. The rates below are per-day.

All climbers are provided with a customized quotation outlining all costs and obligations.

Payment Options & Schedule

A non-refundable deposit of AUD$500 is required to secure your place, no later than 90 days before the climb.

Full payment is required 30 days before the date of the climb. In the event you are unable to climb, your place can be transferred to another climber on the same climb, or rescheduled for a date up to 12 months later.

Not included in quoted tour prices

The follow are not included in our tour prices - the Costs of passports or visas; excess baggage charges; travel insurance; airfares and airport departure taxes, sightseeing, game drives or meals not listed in the itinerary; personal expenses such as beverages, laundry, telecommunication charges, and gratuities/tips.

Payment Methods

Accepted methods of payments include credit card and electronic transfer.  We can not accept personal or business cheques.

Currency

All prices are quotes in US Dollars, even though we are an Australian company and based in Australia. This is for two reasons:

• USD is used as a de-facto business currency in much of Africa, and easier for local businesses to transact in than Australian Dollars (or other international currencies)

• Our base costs in Tanzania (park fees, rescue fees, levies, team salaries) are all paid in USD. This means our tour prices are fixed and do not change with currency fluctations.

Cancellations

Prior to tour departure all cancellations must be in writing. Winds of Hope will retain a percentage of the trip cost dependent upon the receipt date of the cancellation notice. If the trip is cancelled:

90 days or more before departure: Cancellation fees equal the amount of your deposit
30 or less days before departure: 50% of the full price is non-refundable
7 days or less before departure: 100% of the package price is non-refundable

You will also be responsible for any fees imposed by hotels, airlines etc., that are not included in our tour prices.

Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
